About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief People & Talent Officer (CPTO) to lead a transformative period of self-reflection and reimagining within the organization. The CPTO will be responsible for driving the work that impacts every adult in the organization, with a focus on fostering a thriving, equitable workplace and shaping the strategic direction of the work. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep well of experience in complex, organization-wide change management, organizational development, strategic talent management, and HR leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading enterprise-level change initiatives, a deep understanding of organizational health drivers, and a proven track record in designing and implementing comprehensive talent strategies. Experience in a K-12 or charter school environment is preferred, and the candidate should be committed to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Key qualifications for the CPTO position at the company include a minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, and a strong emphasis on servant leadership. The successful candidate will be adept at managing and empowering high-capacity teams, with a demonstrated ability to build strong management structures and cultivate leadership. They should be skilled in navigating complex personnel issues with a focus on resolution, fairness, and accountability. The role demands a leader who can balance operational excellence with a people-centered approach, and who is capable of making decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment. Experience in successfully implementing DEI strategies and policies is essential, as is the ability to build trust and relationships with a high level of emotional intelligence.
