YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF YOU:

• Educate students on the fundamental laws of matter and energy through hands-on exploration and real-world applications
• Support student mastery of motion, forces, and gravity concepts that form the foundation of physics understanding
• Plan and execute dynamic laboratory experiments that supplement and reinforce content mastery
• Prepare all students to have the choice to study and excel in any STEM discipline they pursue
• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of all learners
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment while fostering scientific inquiry and collaboration
• Create comprehensive assessment strategies that accurately measure student performance and progress
• Provide meaningful, constructive feedback that guides students toward deeper understanding
• Build and sustain positive relationships with parents and families to support student success
• Collaborate effectively with teachers and administrators to ensure comprehensive student achievement
• Enforce rigorous safety and security standards for all students, staff, and visitors during lab work
• Maintain detailed records including student files, attendance, incident reports, and progress documentation
• Participate actively in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities
• Stay current with research, developments, and best practices in high school science education

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree (minimum)
• NJ Teaching Certificate in Physics (Certificate of Eligibility acceptable)
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to communicate across lines of difference
• Subject matter expertise in physics and related sciences
• Team-oriented mindset with high expectations for students
• Understanding of adolescent development and learning
