The role

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development & Strategic Accounts this role supports the Sales team across a number of administration activities and sells packing products across its region. This role will engage with new and existing customers and will be responsible for delivering sales targets.

This Sales Account Manager role will be responsible for the West Coast territory and candidates will ideally be based in Texas.

As a Sales Account Manager at IPL you will be responsible for:

  • Performance Monitoring : Working with the Sales Director track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of sales initiatives and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Administration: Working with the Sales Director ensure people, system and process administration tasks are followed and up to date. Challenge the status quo and suggest areas for improvement
  • Drive revenue and volume growth in line with the overall business plan and Sales and Commercial strategy
  • Actively build relationships and be accountable for sales and contract negotiations of all packaging products and services across your region.
  • Ensure a healthy pipeline and Customer Satisfaction across your region while understanding our competitor profiles in those markets.
  • Own and deliver your budget and ensure successful achievement of all monthly sales targets
  • Collaborate across functions in IPL to ensure demand and appropriate short- and long-term forecasts are understood and can be delivered, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • In collaboration with other functions and teams, ensure price costings systems are accurate to ensure correct pricing and margins for the market and region
  • In collaboration with marketing, drive activities to grow our brand and drive sales opportunities
  • Active participation in regular sales and marketing meetings.
  • Provide market intelligence on a regular basis & support the overall packaging business development reports in your region.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience working within a similar environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent consulting, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to collaborate and bridge across functional boundaries.
  • Strong business acumen, process focused and previous experience with systems
  • Ability to perform consistently with IPL Values.
  • Ability to travel as needed
