As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. In this unarmed patrol position, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, responding to alarms, and assisting visitors and staff with professionalism and courtesy. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. You will also utilize technology such as computers or tablets to document activities and communicate with your team. Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What Youll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential incidents within the location.
• Follow all instructions and guidelines provided by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid drivers license is required for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
